Damn being blind and having a beer variety pack!!! I got this really cool Sam Adams beer variety twelve pack at my office Christmas party. (yeah, ok, so not your average office Christmas gift, but we don't have your average office). After consuming most of the twelve pack, I have found one of the beers that I really like, but damn if I know the name of it. I guess my two options at this point are to walk in to the liquor store across the street, hand the clerk the empty bottle and say I want a twelve pack of this or leave the empty bottle sitting here until a sighted friend comes over. I guess I could also take the bottle over to my extremely elderly neighbor (99 I think) and ask her to read it, but the shock that a blind man actually drinks beer may give her a heart attack and I don't feel like dealing with any corpses tonight. Also, technology is no help at this point because try as I might, I can not get the KNFB reader to identify this bottle. The bottles all feel the same too! Damn damn damn!
If you have a liquor store right across the street, I'd say just go ask them, either today or tomorrow. No harm in doing that. I'm going to ine to ask if they could order me a case of my dealcoholised Inglenook wine.
I actually have a similar problem with a bottle of wine, but that is not nearly as big of a deal because I have not opened it yet and won't until I know what it is. Wine just gets better with age, so the longer I don't know, the better it will be.
I found out that the beer is Sam Adams Cream Stout. I ended up taking it to the store across the street and buying a six pack. Good stuff.
